NICOLE NAU & LUIS PEREYRA

live in Bernal, a little village of Buenos Aires/ Argentina. Their cooperation on stage started in 2001 dancing together in the Opera  "Orestes last Tango" produced by Nicole nau for the international Music Theatre Festivals of the Netherlands. In 2003 Nau & Pereyra performed in the Tigerpalast Frankfurt and the Kurhaus Wiesbaden in the production Stars of Variete, a Coproduction of Roncalli Circus and Tigerpalast. The German Television emited in the same year a ducumentary about their work in Hier und Heute of the WDR, and later a second one for ARTE METROPOLIS. Pointing on their presentation during the APOLLO VARIETÉ DĂśSSELDORF they have been invited by TRAUMTĂ„NZER HESSISCHER RUNDFUNK TV for the competition of the International VarietĂ© Award 2005.

Together Nau & Pereyra join their own studio in Buenos Aires where they train, study and teach. They work on a revolutional method in teaching tango, to obtain best results in dynamic and musicality and improvisation.

The style of Nicole Nau & Luis Pereyra is elegant and virtuos, very powerful and ful of vitality, reaching high grade of temperament, what opend them the way to the best theatras of the world.

Their first project together is El Sonido de Mi Tierra I (the sound of my earth), an e idea of Luis Pereyra, where argentine Folklore and Tango reaches a fusion, an union. This first production celebrates important recognizement in the press and public since its first presentation in the Teatro Empire in Buenos Aires in June 2003 (also available as video).

Now there follows the new resent creation: El Sonido de Mi Tierra II  Personalisimo, a electrifying show what has been presented in its world premiere in the Rotationstheater in Remscheid in June 2004. Later it performed in several theatras of Buenos Aires, as the Teatro Margarita Xirgu, the oldest theatre in town, in December 2004. For the last presentaction of the year they invited Peteco Carabajal as special guest.

End of 2004 Nicole Nau and Luis Pereyra thankfully recived the excellent cooperation of the master JULIO LOPEZ, argentine choreographer, who got in charged of the dramatical overview and supervision of the show.

In april 2005 El Sonido de mi Tierra II  Personalisimo has been on tour again, starting in the TONHALLE DĂśSSELDORF, and later performing in the famous SENFTĂ–PFCHEN in KĂ–LN.

The company has will present its new creation BAILANDO EN SOLEDAD ....TANGO! in the Teo Otto Theater as opener of the season. Later they will travel through more than 20 cities of Europe. 

Nicole Nau

was trained on the ACADEMY OF ARTS, first learning artistic painter, but later finishing here carear as GRAFIC DESIGNER. 17 years ago she got in touch with the Tango, still living in here home city, DĂĽsseldorf. There she got envolved with the dance and decidet to quitt here job and to leave direction Buenos Aires and to get instructed as a professional dancer. A year later she reached to dance in the TEATRO COLON in the OPERA MARATON, directed by JAIME KOGAN. 2003 she was chosen for the publicity E-ON and whole Germany saw her on huge posters. In 1996 the danced for Boris Yelzin. And visited several continents with her performances. In Argentinien here Photo was chosen for a stamp of the post office  in honor of the celebration of 100 years of Tango. In 2001 she produced the first Tango OPERA for the WORLD MUSIC THEATRE FESTIVAL, which was called ORESTES LAST TANGO. There she danced under the coreografic direction of OSCAR ARAIZ. Since 2000 Nicole Nau is getting instructed in Folklore Dances, which elemts she is using in here work.

Luis Pereyra

is dancing since he is ten years old. Starting in the famous CAĂ‘O CATORCE, he later on visited all continents of the world, passing in the most important theatres as by example: the theatras of th BROADWAY, the ALLDEWICH Theater in London, the CHATELET de Paris, the KĂ–LNER PHILHARMINIE, the DEUTSCHEN THEATER in MĂĽnchen or the ALTEN OPER Frankfurt. He participated as dancer and choreogrpher in the most important tangoproductions as there is the legendare show TANGO ARGENTINO. But his passion is the argentine Folklore of the whole country, espacially of his home province Santiago.

Guest musician: ENRIQUE ANGEL PONCE DE LEON

Born in 16. January 1950 in Vicente Lopez, Province of Buenos Aires

With his voice and his bandoneĂłn argentine Folklore has reached on a lots of stages in the world, fascinating the public.

His professional work starts in 1978, as a game. When he went to the mayor festival of folklore of Argentina, towards Cosquín, he is recognized as a development of the year.In Juli 1978 he tours through the Provinz Salta, where he is acting in Tartagal, Orán and Joaquín V. González. Also here they celebrate him as new development. In 1979 he starts working in Cosquin and goes on in several other festivals of Argentina, like the Festival del Cabrito in the city of Recreo (Catamarca), San Luis del Palmar and San Cosme, both in Corrientes, where he is celebrated again as revelation of the year.

His first work abrought takes place in 1980 where he is travelling to Japan. Here he is acompaining the group Las Guitarras de Oro In 1988 he founds the Trio ?Gente Amiga? with whom he takes part in the production Cantata. There he is sharing the stage with other artists as Roberto Goyeneche, Nelly Vasquez and Alberto Podestá. This production wins the price Estrella del Mar

As solist he travels through Bolivia and Brasil in 1990. From 1991 to 1994 he is member of the group ?Cantautores?  and travels though Chily, Canada, Spain, together with the Ballet Salta. A Tour through Japan is the highpoint of this work. In 1995 he works as Solist in Germany and Italy

Choreograph Supervisor of the dramatic part: JULIO LOPEZ 

Spanish-Argentine choreographer and dancer, Julio Lòpez completed his studies of choreographic techniques, dance and pedagogy at the Conservatory Dance School of the University of Chile, under the guidance and supervision of remarkable teachers such as: Seegur Leeder, Lola Botka, Hans Züllig (Ballet Joos), Patricio Bunster, Heinz Poll, Joan Turner, Dorinda Brown, among others.

Starting in 1967, he became very active  in Europe, at the Stuttgart and Munich Operas in Germany under John Crankos direction, with tours to the international festivals at Spoletto in Italy and to Hammamet-Cartago in  Tunesia where he interpreted creations by John Cranko, Kenneth Mac Millan, and Peter Wright, and several performances for German television.

After auditioning, Julio Lopez joined in 1975 the Ballet of the Colon Opera House in Buenos Aires and danced all the classic repertoire until 1992.

His choreographic work included many productions created for the Teatro Colòn, Teatro Gral. San Martin, Teatro Argentino, NucleoDanza, Ballet Argentino (Julio Bocca), all in Argentina; Palacio de las Artes (Belo Horizonte/Brasil); Ballet Cisne Negro (San Pablo/Brazil); National Eslovenian Opera Ballet (Ljubljana); Ballet Concierto (Puerto Rico); Opera San Carlo de Nápoles (Italia). He also participated as a choreographer with the following reggiseurs: Jaime Kogan (Mahagonny La Forza del Destino), Roberto Oswald (Bomarzo Aida), Sergio Renan (Otelo), Beni Montresor (Sanson and Delilah).

His artistic career is linked to three of the world´s best know dancers: Maya Plissetskaya (Bolshoi Theatre), Julio Bocca (Gold Medal Moscow/85),and Maximiliano Guerra (Gold Medal Varna/88), and he choreographed several of the works in wich they performed.
