Ruben Segovia

Rubén Segovia was born on 12 of February 1968 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

he studied Harmony and Music for Charango and Guitar with the Professor Stafforini and lyric Vox with Professor Juan Verlatto of the Teatro Colón.

Since 1990 he works as member of the group Antara - Music of the Altiplano – acting on stages of diferent houses of Tango as "Michelangelo", "Casa Blanca" and at the moment the "El Viejo Almacén". Here he has shared the stage with important artists as Leopoldo Federico, Hugo Marcel, Maria Graña, Sexteto Mayor, Virginia Luque, Osvaldo Berlingeri, Carlos Morel, etc.

Beside this activities he works as solist and meets on this way important interprets of argentine music as León Gieco- one of the most important musicians of argentina.

In 2006 he records his first CD "Pulsando Sonidos", which cantains 8 compositions of himself and has been celebrated by the argentine press.

In 2006 he meets Gustavo Santaolalla (Oscar winner in 2006 and 2007 for best music: Babel and Los secretos de la montaña), who tells him: "…excellent work, very fine and sensitiv music of great expression."

In 2006 he records music for the performances of Luis Pereyra: "Bailando en Soledad ...Tango!"


Mauricio Jost

Bandoneonplayer

Born on 15 May 1986 in Oberá, Misiones.

He started his studies when he was 13 years old. His masters has been: Ricardo Buri 1999, in Misiones. In 2002 he studied with Ricardo Ojeda in the school of SADAIC, Misiones and later on in Buenos Aires he was teached by Osvaldo "Marinero" Montes in the Academia Nacional del Tango. At this moment he is taking lessons with Walter Castro.

Julián Peralta, Julián Hasse and later on Lito Valle are teaching him Harmony and Composing.

As Solist he was recognized as revelation in the Festival Nacional del Té, later also in the Festival de la música del Litoral, and the Festival de la ecología. He was named in Cosquín in the year 2001 with his group Oberá Trío.

His first prize he got at the age of 13 in the Festival de música juvenil.

Together with the Orquesta Típica Imperial he took part in the VII Festival de Tango, and realized a tour through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Luxemburg, Holland and Denmark. He recordet the CD "Ruidos Molestos" in the year 2005.

As member of the trio "Ache Tango" he recordet the CD in 2005, taking part in the Encuentro Internacional de Música Contemporánea. In 2006 they have been choosen as revelation of the Festival Internacional ValparaTango.

Inbetween 2005 and 2006 he was member of the Orquesta de la Academia Nacional del Tango, taking part in the Día mundial del Tango, and in the VIII Festival de Tango also realizing a tour through Spain and Germany presenting his art during acts giving homage to the Wrldchampionchip of Football 2006.

He was invited by the Academia Nacional del Tango to play the instrument of Anibal Troilo, the greatest bandoneonplayer of all times.

At this moment he is one of the musicians of the Sexteto Milonguero, playing in a lots af danceplaces in Buenos Aires.

He also plays in the Orquestra of the Cafe de los Angelitos, directed by Luis Pereyra.
